Trainers have the opportunity to earn encounters with Oranguru through the Slumbering Sands event in 2024 by completing Field Research tasks. This event will take place from Friday, June 7, 2024, at 10 AM local time from Wednesday, June 12 at 8 PM local time.
Oranguru will also appear more frequently in the wild throughout the duration of Slumbering Sands.

Yes, Shiny Oranguru is available in Pokemon Go. It made its debut on August 26, 2023, during that year’s Pokemon Go Fest event.
Does Oranguru have an evolution in Pokemon Go?
Oranguru is the only member of its Pokemon family, which means it doesn’t have an evolution and it doesn’t evolve from any other species – which means you don’t need to farm Candy to evolve it.
