Honkai Star Rail version 2.2 has entered its second phase. This time, HoYoverse has added an exceptionally powerful single-target damage dealer called Boothill.
This unit is all about the cowboy aesthetic. He has a cyborg body accompanied by a hat and a revolver. However, what makes him amazing is his flexibility and absurd damage potential. He is one of those characters you should consider pulling as he will be a great investment for the future.
If you do end up pulling him, here is a detailed guide to help you build him.
Who is Boothill in Honkai Star Rail?
Boothill is an “extremely optimistic and unrestrained” cyborg cowboy.
“He is a member of the Galaxy Rangers who swore to punish the wretched by any and all means… His flamboyant and brash actions were all to draw the attention of the Interastral Peace Corporation — the target of his revenge,” Boothill’s description reads.
Boothill plays a crucial role in Honkai Star Rail version 2.2 story mode. However, we’ll skip the specifics here to prevent any spoilers.

High DPS unit | Bad against multiple targets |

Flexible and works in wide range of teams |
Should you pull for Boothilll?
Yes, Boothill is worth pulling in Honkai Star Rail. He is the best single-target damage dealer in the game right now. He’s a fun character, works in a wide range of teams, and is very effective against bosses.
The current Memory of Chaos features several boss enemies on the final floor. Boothill will make those encounters a lot easier. While you do need Crit and Break Effect on him, he is a lot easier to build when compared to other DPS characters.
As a new player, he can be a long-term carry for your account and will come in handy in both early and late game. If you are a veteran, you have the option to choose, but you will benefit more than you lose in the case of Boothill.
Best Boothilll team comp in Honkai Star Rail
There are two teams where Boothill can function the best. These are the ones you should consider:
Boothill, Bronya, Ruan Mei, Gallagher
This is the best team for Boothill in Honkai Star Rail. Here, both Bronya and Ruan Mei will enhance the damage output of Boothill significantly. The Advance Forward from Bronya also helps out Boothil to attack for multiple turns.
Gallagher is quite good here as he can debuff enemies and enhance your Basic ATK. However, if you want, Luocha, or Huohuo are also good options here.
Boothill, Harmony Trailblazer, Ruan Mei, Gallagher
This team is even more powerful than the previous one on account of the Super Break DMG mechanic from the Harmony Trailblazer. Once that’s combined with the Break DMG of Boothill, you will be shredding bosses in the blink of an eye.
Gallagher plays a similar role here as the previous team where he debuffs enemies, enhances ATK, and heals allies when necessary.
