NIANTICThe scary creature known as Guzzlord is returning to Pokemon Go Raids along with other Ultra Beasts for the Pokemon Go Fest 2024 celebrations, so here are its weaknesses and best counters to defeat it in battle.
Following the footsteps of Nihilego, Buzzwole, Xurkitree, and Pheromosa, the Ultra Beast Guzzlord appeared through an Ultra Wormhole in Pokemon Go in November 2022.
Now, the Dark/Dragon-type Guzzlord is coming back to 5-Star Raids every weekend of the Pokemon Go Fest 2024, which means it will be available for Sendai, Madrid, New York, and Global events.

Guzzlord weaknesses in Pokemon Go
Guzzlord is a Dark/Dragon-type Pokemon, which means it’s weak against Bug, Dragon, Fairy, Fighting, and Ice-type attacks. It’s especially weak to Fairy-type attacks so it’s a good idea to focus on those.
It’s also important to know Guzzlord’s type resistances. Avoid using Dark, Electric, Fire, Ghost, Grass, Psychic, and Water-type attacks in battle, as these won’t do much damage at all.

Remember that Guzzlord is extra vulnerable to Fairy-type attacks so it’s pretty much always best to take those into battle where possible.
How to get Guzzlord in Pokemon Go
The only way to get an Ultra Beast in Pokemon Go is by challenging it to a battle, so to get Guzzlord, you must first defeat it in a 5-Star Raid encounter. To do this, we’d recommend teaming up with at least five other trainers and using a team of strong counters.
Once you’ve defeated Guzzlord, you’ll be given a limited amount of Premier Balls to attempt to catch it. You can use Razz Berries and throw Excellent Curve Balls to increase your chances of success here.
Guzzlord is returning to Raid battles along with some other Ultra Beasts for every Pokemon Go Fest 2024 event. That means it will be available on the following dates:
- From May 30, 2024, until June 2, 2024
- From June 14, 2024, until June 16, 2024
- From July 5, 2024, until July 7, 2024.
- From July 13, 2024, until July 14, 2024.
However, keep in mind that because they appear for a limited time, you won’t always find the Ultra Beasts in Raids, so take advantage of the event and grab as many as you can.
